Draftify assists YouTube creators in preparing their video metadata before publishing. It operates as a guided, step-by-step workflow that refines a creator's rough inputs into polished, search-optimised outputs.

The core Draftify workflow. The creator inputs a rough title, optional description, and context about their video. The AI (Google Gemini) produces a refined YouTube title and description optimised for click-through rate and search discoverability. The creator can regenerate with notes, specifying exactly what to change. A tag generation step follows, producing up to 15 SEO-appropriate tags based on the refined title and description. Tags are additive — the creator can regenerate to add more without duplicating existing ones.

A thumbnail A/B comparison tool. The creator uploads two candidate thumbnails and provides their video title and niche. The AI analyses both images and recommends which thumbnail is more likely to perform better in the context of the creator's audience and content category, with a written explanation of its reasoning.

Postify is activated after a video is live on YouTube. The creator pastes their YouTube video URL, and Postify retrieves the video's transcript via a three-tier system: a Supabase cache (instant on repeat loads), a residential IP server running yt-dlp (fast, high compatibility), and Google Gemini as a fallback for videos without captions. Once the transcript is loaded, all Postify tools operate on it without additional video loads.

It analyses a creator's YouTube channel — performance data, upload cadence, audience engagement patterns, and niche trends — and produces data-backed recommendations for what to create next and when. It identifies what content is performing, what is underperforming, and what topics are gaining traction within the creator's specific niche. The goal is to replace guesswork and trend-chasing with strategic, evidence-based direction personalised to each channel.

An AI call is deducted every time the AI model is invoked: title refinement, description refinement, regeneration, tag generation, thumbnail analysis, video transcript load (new videos only), Clipper, Chapters, and Key Takeaways. The daily limit resets at midnight UTC. Monthly limits reset on the 1st of each calendar month at midnight UTC. Deleting a saved item restores folder storage but does not restore the monthly save allowance.
A soft warning is shown when 15 AI calls remain. A hard block is applied at 0. Limits are enforced both client-side and server-side.

Postify requires a publicly accessible YouTube video URL. Transcript availability depends on whether captions exist for the video. For videos without captions, Gemini processes the audio directly, though accuracy may vary. Private and unlisted videos are not supported.
